Aloha! e komo mai (welcome) to hu honua aquaponics (hha), based in kailua-kona, hawaii, servicing home-owners and farmers of the big island. hu honua means to come forth from the earth, like a water spring, as we hope to be a source of life giving information. hha strives to promote sustainable farm. We have started our aquaponics farm in kailua-kona, hawaii. this farm will be tourist farm. when we open our farm, i will introduce you. please drop by our farm when you come to big island!. Head, science and technology, university of the nations, kona, hi campus. i am a retired conservation biologist with the u.s. fish and wildlife service. for the past 9 years i have been leading the science and technology group at the university of the nations, kona, hawaii campus where our natural farm training center includes aquaponics.. Zac and rebecca hosler started living aquaponics inc in 2010 and built our keei farm located near honaunau on the big island of hawaii. this farm consists of a large aquaponics system which generates between 500 and 900 pounds of vegetables per week..
